This 21-collector solar thermal drainback system is offsetting the costs associated with heating water for the Child Development Center on the Marine Corps base at Parris Island.

We used AET 4×10 collectors that are supporting 1,200 gallons of hot water storage. The collectors were secured to the roof using Eagle Rail and S5! clamps; attached to the seams of the standing seam roof.

Webb & Allen Orthodontics installed a 3.2kW PV system as part of the LEED certification effort for its new office facility. The system is comprised of (14) Trina Solar 230 W modules and utilizes Enphase micro-inverter technology.

Solar thermal system includes (4) AET 4×10 collectors and (2) 80-gallon storage tanks. The system is being used to preheat two tankless Rinnai water heaters required to provide the school cafeteria with 150 degree water as per DHEC specifications.

Pleasant, SC uses a tremendous amount of hot water each day as part of their brewing process. EcoBilt installed a 480-gallon solar hot water system to minimize the dependence on their boiler system to heat the water. The system is comprised of (12) 4×8 AET collectors and (4) 120-gallon AET tanks.

This Charleston resident has taken advantage of South Carolina’s abundant solar resource by installing both a solar thermal and solar PV system. Micro-inverters allowed us to install 2 separate solar PV arrays on the south and west portions of the roof.

The solar PV system will offset more than 50% of annual household energy consumption. The solar thermal system will offset ~70-80% of the energy used to heat hot water on an annual basis.
