Posted on Feb 3, 2011 in Projects This Charleston resident has taken advantage our abundant solar resource by installing both a solar thermal and solar PV system. Micro-inverters allowed us to install 2 separate solar PV arrays on the south and west portions of the roof. The solar PV system will offset more than 50% of annual household energy consumption; the solar thermal system will offset ~70-80% of energy used to heat hot water on a annual basis.pictures
